New in mssgs: sighs, sign cards and 1,088 free animated stickers
In four days, mssgs-stickers.com grew from 370 to 1,088 animated stickers. The newest batch: a sigh for each of our twenty characters.
Four days ago we opened mssgs-stickers.com with 370 stickers in 36 packs. Since then the collection has grown almost every night. Today it holds 1,088 animated stickers in 48 packs, and the newest batch may be the most relatable one yet: a sigh for every character.
A sigh for every character
Twenty characters live in the mssgs stickers, from Little Bear and Cream Cat to Drama Cat, Office Duck, Chaos Raccoon and a very patient Capybara. As of today, each of them has a gentle sigh of its own, for the moments when a message deserves one. You find them in the Express Yourself pack and in each character's own pack. Search for "sigh" to see all twenty (in Dutch, "zucht" works too).
Sign cards, for when words are not enough
Yesterday brought 80 sign cards. Every character now holds up "100 IQ", "Very smart", "Genius" or "Rich", ready for the friend who finally solved the puzzle, or who just paid for dinner. They join the Chat Signs pack, which now holds 132 stickers, from "BRB" and "See you later" to a happy or a sad "ME".
Two packs that did not exist last week
Express Yourself and Chat Signs are both only a few days old. Express Yourself is for reactions: a side-eye, a talk-to-the-paw, a party horn and now the sighs. Chat Signs are the stickers you send instead of typing: be right back, see you later, how you feel today.
The whole week
- 28 September: mssgs-stickers.com opened with 370 stickers in 36 packs, and eight packs followed the same day: School Days, On the Go, Phone & Time, Daily Life, Play & Move, Ride & Roam, Game Mode and Busy Days.
- 29 September: the On Duty and Service Crew packs, plus jobs and everyday moments for the character packs.
- 30 September: the Express Yourself and Chat Signs packs, 80 character chat stickers, and the 80 sign cards.
- 1 October: twenty sighs, which brings the count to 1,088.
Every sticker is animated: a short loop of three to seven and a half seconds, 320 by 320 pixels on a transparent background. If your device asks for reduced motion, mssgs shows a still frame instead.
How to send them in mssgs
In the desktop app and the web app, press the GIF button in the chat bar and open the Stickers tab. Packs show as picture tiles, the last 24 stickers you sent wait under Recently used, and the sticker search runs on your own device: typos and plurals still find the right sticker, and nothing you type is sent to an outside service. On iPhone they will sit behind the same GIF button and in the attachment sheet. Sending stickers is free; you do not need Premium.
Everything up to the sign cards is in the desktop app and the web app now. The sighs arrived with desktop version 14.6.20160 and reach the web app with its next update. On iPhone, the stickers come with the next App Store release, which is in testing now.
Use them outside mssgs too
Every sticker is free to use outside mssgs as well, also commercially: in your own app, website, stream, video, game, newsletter or print. Resize them, recolour them, combine them. The one thing we ask is a credit line: "Stickers by mssgs-stickers.com". What you may not do is sell or hand out the stickers as a pack of your own, claim you made them, or suggest that mssgs endorses you. The full terms are on mssgs-stickers.com/license.
Developers can create a free API key on mssgs-stickers.com/developers. Sticker files have permanent addresses that work without a key, and every pack downloads as a ZIP with its credits included.
Send us yours
There is also a Community pack, and it is still empty. Anyone can send in a sticker on mssgs-stickers.com/submit (PNG, APNG, GIF or WebP, up to 2 MB). Our team looks at every submission, and approved stickers join the pack with the maker's name in the credits.
Browse all 1,088 on mssgs-stickers.com, or open mssgs and send a sigh to someone who has earned one.
